WildKind - Conservation meets Innovation

Read below how we have worked to conserve more than 3,000 acres of Loudoun County land, protect endangered species and implement new technologies to reduce human impact

Piney Run Efforts

At WildKind, the Bane family's dedication to environmental stewardship has transformed Piney Run into a thriving ecosystem. Through careful habitat restoration and sustainable land management practices, Joe Bane and his family have successfully reintroduced native brook trout and endangered wood turtles to these pristine waters, which serve as the headwaters of Piney Run. Their passionate commitment to wildlife conservation has created a sanctuary where once-threatened species now flourish, making WildKind a testament to the positive impact that mindful environmental stewardship can have on Northern Virginia's natural heritage.

Efforts on the WildKind Estate

Nestled within our 337-acre conserved estate, nature flourishes in perfect harmony with our sustainable winemaking practices. Our commitment to land preservation has created a thriving sanctuary where rare and endangered species, including the American Bobcat and American Black Bear, have found their home among our vines. These remarkable creatures, which grace our wine labels as symbols of our dedication to conservation, serve as living proof that responsible stewardship can create a perfect balance between agricultural excellence and environmental protection.
